VOYAGER RECORD

Timothy Ferris produced the Voyager phonograph record, an archive of music, voices, and natural sounds of Planet Earth carried aboard the twin Voyager interstellar spacecraft, which were launched from Kennedy Space Center in 1977 and are now leaving the solar system. Ferris also wrote the motto inscribed in the records' takeout grooves: "To the Makers of Music—All Worlds, All Times."
In 2017, on the 40th anniversary of its launch, the golden record was released for the first time on vinyl and digital download. Timothy Ferris aided in digitizing this Ozma Records release in New York and remastering it for vinyl in Los Angeles.
